Congratulations
to both NC State and UNC Chapel Hill for fantastic recruitments!
NC State exceeded quota and welcomed 43 new members.
Carolina also exceeded quota and added 48 new members.
Congratulations ladies!
This past weekend, our chapter hosted our first ever
Frats at Bat. We had 18 out of the 22 IFC Fraternities on campus take
part in a softball tournament to raise money for St. Jude. Each team
consisted of at least 10 players. To play, the player either had to pay
$15 or submit 15 addresses for our Sincerely Yours letter writing
campaign that is going on right now. It was a beautiful day for the
tournament, we had all of our teams show up, all had different color
tshirt (which they got for the entry fee). Alpha Tau Omega won the
tournament, and we engraved a trophy for them and have created a plaque
to hang in our house for the winners to be put on it every year. We
don't know how much money we are able to send to St. Jude yet, but the
tournament was definitely a success for its first year. We are so proud
of everyone's hard work and dedication for doing something completely
new and exciting. As for our letter writing
campaign Sincerely Yours, last week after chapter all of the girls
stayed and filled out at least 10 personalized letters to friends and
family to ask for donations for St. Jude. If you filled out 30 or more
addresses, you were entered in a drawing to win an iPod touch! The
raffle will be tonight at chapter. Wish me luck! Our
Formal is coming up on April 3rd and will be at the Carolina Inn. We
are very excited. The Sunday of that same weekend is the Pansy
Breakfast honoring our seniors. Invitations are out and RSVPs are
coming in quickly. I am really looking forward to personally planning
this day for our wonderful seniors. Also, I am
getting together a list of girls who would be interested in babysitting
in the area. On the list, I am going to put their name, phone number,
email address, year in school. The list will only be girls who will be
available for the summer, and in the fall when we have our new pledge
class I will create a new list. Please feel free to
email me if you have any questions. And please give the alumni my
information if they need to contact me about anything as well. Take
care! DL, Lindsey Lindsey Wall Delta Delta Delta Collegiate/Alumni Relations wglindse@email.unc.edu

Congratulations to the NC
State chapter on a fantastic first recruitment! The ladies welcomed
over 40 new members on September 17th. The chapter was over quota,
something that usually takes 8 years to reach for a new chapter at
State and some of the established chapters did not even reach this
year. The ladies also asked me to pass on a big thanks for all of the
alumnae help!!!
Our fellow alumn
Emily Goatcher and her family are collecting soccer balls to send to
children in Afghanistan where Emily's brother Andrew is currently
stationed.
